The Odor Detection Study
Participants are needed for the Odor Detection Study being conducted in the Howard Lab at Brandeis University. This study examines odor detection and sensitivity in healthy humans.
Who can participate? Adults aged 18-39, non-smoker, with no visual or olfactory impairments are eligible to participate.*
What does participation involve? This study involves completion of a ~10 minute online questionnaire, and a ~50 minute in-person visit conducted at Brandeis University in the Howard Lab (Schwartz Hall, Lower Level room 90-003) The in-person session involves smelling an odor and rating its intensity.
What do I get for participating? Participants will receive 1 course credit if registering through the SONA system as an eligible undergraduate student at Brandeis University, or $15 cash if not registering through SONA.

The Mediated Learning Study
Participants are needed for the Mediated Learning Study being conducted in the Howard Lab at Brandeis University. This study investigates how mental imagery contributes to learning and decision making.
Who can participate? Adults aged 18-39, non-smoker, with no visual or olfactory impairments are eligible to participate.*
What does participation involve? This study involves completion of a ~5 minute online questionnaire, and a ~85 minute in-person visit conducted at Brandeis University in the Howard Lab (Schwartz Hall, Lower Level, room 90-003). The in-person session involves smelling odors, seeing symbols and learning associations between them.
What do I get for participating? Participants will receive $20 cash.
